You've got The Smiths there, Jamie will officially love you harder and longer than a vietnamese working girl. I personally cannot stand them, but I've never have been able to dig them, never really enjoyed Morrisseys writing, just one of those (that said How soon is now? is an EPIC, EPIC track). The Specials are an awesome ska though. Oh and thanks for that, I'm going to be whistling Ghost Town for the next week now it's in my head... Anyhoooo... The following is obscure bands and/or solo artists who have that sultry kinda voice which belongs in a 30's high end hotel bar in Chicago... These are songs which reflect the artist, not necessarily good examples of what you'd expect to grab mafia men in pin stripe by the thompson drum-clip though... Shivaree - Goodnight MoonAzure Ray - New ResolutionUh Huh Her - ExplodeLisa Mitchell - Coin LaundryMan I love this girl...

Never been a big Smiths fan myself in all honesty but i do actually like a half dozen songs or so from them.
Seeing as the sun is out and we should all be out in the park having a lazy day......here's a bit of Lou reed who made some of the best (and worst) music of the 70's....
Now here's something you don't get on a music thread everyday but i love this song ..... very rousing. Zulu's sir..............thousands of em !!!!
Love CSNY and this is a great song and intro to the Woodstock movie.
Buffalo Springfield....Not a big but i do like an odd number.
Probably th best protest song ever.....billy Bragg eat ya heart out Give me an "F"

90% are proudly in my music collection! AWESOME!!! Plus double win for any feature of T-Rex ;D Incubus - Anna MollyThe Strokes - Machu PicchuThe most 'un-strokes' Strokes track EVER! And still as equally cool!!! Admittedly it isn't likely to change the indie music scene quite like Last Night and the likes but it still is awesomely funky. The Strokes - Last NightGorillaz live - Feel Good IncToo incredible. end of line.
