Hey up folks, a nice simple one for you here, Has any of you lovely people used a Proto Primo loader before? For anyone who isn't aware of these hoppers they are a gravity feed system manufactured by Proto and designed to eliminate 'shake and shoot'. I've been reading review after review, the general consensus is that they are the top of the gravity feed food-chain however they still jam from time to time. I am however willing to stake elements of my crotch region that those who were offering their input online were NOT using a blowback gun and were trying to shoot above 8bps. A gravityfeed loader is obviously limited by mother nature and without an agitator will jam at the feedneck (imagine 8 people trying to get through a door all at once), blowback guns assist the Primo by launching excess gas up the feed as there is less weight being forced on the neck thanks to tray which distributes balls across the hopper and feeds at a more controlled way. So getting back to my request, has any of our wonderful community used one before by any chance? What setup was it on? How did you find the antijamming tray? Was it as effective as Proto claim? Thanks everyone Jonny

I believe Andy Sables from YPC/Talkpaintball regularly uses one on his Euromag for big games and walkons and from what i have read they seem to work ok on lower ROF markers.
They seem to be a direct copy (or rip off) of the Tacamo hoppers knocking about on Ebay from time to time.

That's cracking Mike cheers. Funnily enough it was because I have some Tacamos ordered after getting sick of paying through my teeth for batteries that I spotted these by chance. The tray design is slightly different and admittedly a nicer design but if the Tacamos work and aren't as bad in terms of quality as many people suggest then Tacamos take the win. I'll be able to judge it better when the first lands. The Primo does look VERY nice though so I'm tempted to pick one up to see how well it works.

Are you wanting to shoot paint or reballs through them, just Reballs might perform a lot differently.
FYI....Don't waste your money on used 12v revi's as the reballs jam under the paddle's,i couldn't get no more than 5 or 6 balls through mine without it constantly jamming ,so i sold mine last week:(

Yeah I noticed this also I have a fabricated paddle here I want to try but haven't gotten around to installing it yet. The Tacamos are for Reballs primarily, paint as a second thought. They are for the ER3's. I was thinking they will have a lot more friction to deal with but I'm figuring if I can lube up the insides of the loader when we have customers/ Youth Zone punters it won't do any harm and will hopefully improve upon the classic issues with gravity feeds, paint or reballs alike.
