A HUGE THANK YOU!!!

Hi everyone,

I just want to take this opportunity to publicly thank three very, very important individuals for the work they're putting in behind the scenes this week. Before I begin, I really would just like to say that I don't think any less of you lovely folks (Jonny loves ya'll) but these guys really do deserve a mention.

Jamie Donaldson is running around all this weekend providing gear when and where it is needed and also marshaling our very first public event on Sunday, taking up a large portion of his weekend. He's going waaaaay above and beyond so Jamie seriously, thank you mate! That extends to Leigh and Poppy too, you guys are amazing!

Nath Hanby is and continues to be one of these most dedicated players attending every session we've ever held bar the last. Nath is also marshaling on Sunday and taking time out of his weekend in addition to working so again, Nath, thank you 'pet'!

Finally Mr Paul Scott has been instrumental these last few weeks and in particular the last few days. Scotty took time out to fill the air bottle (as he does each week bless him) but on realising it wouldn't be enough invited me round and between us not only have we fixed the struggling air compressor but have got a full 4500 fill and done it in just under an hour. As if this isn't enough Scotty also took time out from catching up on his own tasks to help me address the Gazebo, allowing us to use it over the weekend. We have now attached netting so it won't have to be re-netted each week. Again, this guy really has went well above and beyond and I am so proud and grateful. Thanks buddy, you are a true bloody mate.

So there we go, these guys are making sure that we all have the opportunity to get plenty of affordable gun time on a regular basis and I really felt it was about time they got some credit for it. We wouldn't be able to do it without them.

Additionally though, we wouldn't run at all if there wasn't people to play, so on a final note I also want to thank you. You guys are a crazy bunch of individuals but the most amazing community of friends. Thanks guys.

Jonny.....Don't forget yourself bud,at least you have got of your a$$ and did something about it rather than just sitting there saying "wouldn't it be great if".
I know reball isn't to everybody's taste but at least the naysayers have the option not to play it as opposed to having nowhere to play it.

Just wait till around winter time and you have to have a "cut off" for those wanting to play.

Im quite happy doing a bit of donkey work, carting things back and forward from time to time.
Also, as mike says, none of this would be possible without you turning your thoughts into reality and pushing them no matter what people come up with.
You sir are not a sheep and it's that which people need to pull this industry out of the shitter.

Haha! We already have Jonny Barbour for that (we haven't called him Zoidberg in a while, I think he's managed to out grow that one in terms of his abilities before it had a chance to stick, fair play to our brother)

Annnnnd thank you guys for your lovely kind words! We're a bloody good bunch of people and it's really lovely to see regular faces appearing and an amazing group of players beginning to gel. Between Subzero, Prozone, our Freelance killer and Evo we have a wide selection of individuals who are making up the core of the new tournament paintball + Reball drive in Cumbria and South West Scotland.

I've said for about 6 years now that in order to make the paintball population grow on a national level we need to look at the local communities and bring people together. If you can consolerdate a scattered group into a weekly/ biweekly session with additional social events you are pouring raindrops into a beaker and allowing for a focule point to offer a greater level of play, equipment and potential for growth. This is what we all are and the rewards are already beginning to appear. Friendships are forming, bonds between teams, affordable gun time and new players joining our core group.

So to reitterate what I said earlier, I've provided the means sure, but it's what has been done with it which has produced what we are seeing develop and that is thanks to EVERYONE including the aforementioned names who have believed in the whole 'book them and they will come' outlook from day 1
