[a href=" "] [/a] This is a tad shocking is it not? I'm gobsmacked by the UK paintball scene, reading this makes me ever prouder of you all and the community we have and continue to build. A lovely bunch of people with heart for each other, the game and welcome, open arms to those who wish to join us. You are all a credit to the game.

Shambles is the perfect description of UK paintball, shame that people cant point this out without being banned for daring not to agree with a certain control freak....Reball FTW

Desponge (Adam) used to play along side me in the Northern Outkasts back in the day until he went to play for DV8 around 2004 i think. Haven't seen or spoke to him in a couple of years and it's quite out of character from what i remember of him.
I'm not taking side's but i think his post is a bit strong & biased due to his strong association with Wendy and the Masters as he used to (or still does ?) marshall for them but i can fully understand his frustration with those against wendy and the way certain people within the paintball industry have shamelessly & blatantly seeked to destroy the masters tournament events.
I think there is fault on both sides when it comes to why the masters has been in decline over the last couple of seasons.

Shambles is the perfect description of UK paintball, shame that people cant point this out without being banned for daring not to agree with a certain control freak....Reball FTW The blessing about UK paintball is that there are still people out there who know how to build a fantastic community outside of the 'powers that be'. Although Andy Sable is a well known figure he has a cracking setup bringing people though the scenario scene and it's lovely to see. Yorkie is doing cracking things darrrn sarrrf and Jim Montgomery in Ireland. Interestingly Andy has also been the target of public slander on a very petty level in the past... www.talkpaintball.com/showthread.php?22697-Reply-to-a-personal-attack but again, unless you know the truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth you cannot comment on such events, I think personal perception, how you handle yourself and your professionalism speaks volumes anyhow and a public forum can work very much for or against you as soon as you take away the personality behind words, as such you just gotta go with the flow, smile a little and take it all with open arms. Reball FTW indeedy you gorgeous, gorgeous excuse for all that is Nomad! ;D hehe I'm gonna hold you to that one, I haven't even cracked open Gypsy or Mongolian names yet! ;D Love you to bits really madame! What is the back story behind it all? Politics bro. People at the top of the UK paintball scene (which in it's own right is nothing more than a few meetings in different spots monthly, a central privately owned forum and enough ego to fuel a clone army of David Hasselhoffs). Essentially there was a bit of a spat, toys were thrown around, claims of dads being harder than other dads were the order of the day and everyone got grounded for a month. When it all went down I heard from several sources close to one camp and the camp leader of the other exactly what happened but if truth be known it's better to stay away from it all Stewart, it doesn't do anything to make anyone happy, nor does it make paintball anymore fun so each to their own [a href="http://www.p8ntballer-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?145626-Wtf!!!!!["]http://www.p8ntballer-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?145626-Wtf!!!!![ [/a][/b] Desponge (Adam) used to play along side me in the Northern Outkasts back in the day until he went to play for DV8 around 2004 i think. I must admit, when I first read what he wrote I got the impression he was speaking on a much lighter tone than it has been taken, I didn't even get the impression he was wanting to stir so much as find out what the smeg has happened over the last 5 years (which he has a point about, Bullys series and the 50+ teams to poor Wendy holding the Masters together with 15 tops, we need to get a team together pronto and show our support) but it's all been taken from a VERY aggressive and defensive standpoint which has only ended in people looking a bit daft and a tad over zealous. i have no intention of joining if i see summit id like to buy il use one of you! lol then i wont have to deal with up and coming cords like him! x Lazy git! ;-)

Always the same names that crop up too, I've had my run in's with the very same bunch a few times in the past. To be fair that was because one of them had the hots for my missus at the time and decided a public flaming fuelled by the pitchforkers was the best means of scoring to make it level peg. But hey, I don't go on there unless I'm directed by someone (in this case CJ told me to check it out) or I'm on the classifieds. Other than that, 'ignorance is bliss'.

Ive gotta say, when it all started back then I stayed out of it and every time it crops up, I stay out of it. Its not worth leaving your neutral ground when you side with the hearsay of one party because at the end of the day, majority of it will be hearsay. There are only really 2 people who know the truth behind it all. Ok it could have been handled better and a bit more civilised, but we all know how it goes when two people are passionate about something and both think they are right.
Either way, as you say Jonny, 'Ignorance is bliss'. Classifieds and a few picture threads to see what people are calling their pride and joys these days is usualy as far as i venture.

It's truly a shocking read, many people have indeed came rather close to the truth, or at least close to a civil and neutral understanding but alas, this is what happens when you put the minority of away supporters in the home end. What can you do hey? Each to their own. The best thing Adam can do is log out and let them do their thing. In the mean time like your good selves I'll stick to our little forum (with a growing population ;D), I've always preferred village life anyhoo
