Be prepared for the ultimate sporting experience! Reball is like nothing you have played before. It is an adrenaline fueled game of incredible speed, where players require skill, control, discipline and guts!
We have taken elements of paintball, five-a-side football and ice hockey, fusing these with top of the range, competition standard equipment to offer you an affordable and exciting alternative to regular exercise or recreational activities.
Reball is played indoors
Reball is played indoors which means none of our sessions are affected by the weather or dark evenings, we operate throughout the year. Icy cold winters are uncomfortable for the most hardened of paintball enthusiast, so the comfort of a clean, warm sports hall is a welcoming thought when the frost sets in.
Our top of the range equipment and tailored facilities are completely versatile. Because they can be completely set up and taken down in a very short space of time Carlisle Reball private sessions can be setup in almost any suitable indoor venue! If you or your company wish to arrange a playing venue which better suites your needs, pending it meets our requirements we can bring the Reball games to you!
Mud, rain or unforeseen trip hazards are no longer issues. Everyone likes to get a bit dirty when playing sports! We sure do! But sometimes it's equally as nice to come home without half of a field lodged firmly down your socks or a puddle of rainy, muddy water caked up your trousers. More over, the risk of a broken branch clobbering your noggin', losing your footing on a bank to an unseen hole or terrifyingly slipping and losing your goggle system is all but gone. Our indoor environments are regulated and offer us far more control to offer you a fantastic time!
Unlimited Shots
Reballs are 100% reusable! This allows players to shoot an unlimited amount of shots without any extra charges! Not a penny! Gone are the days of spending large amounts of money, being stung with heavy, unforeseen bills at the end of a days play or even reserving balls to make them last throughout the day. When you play Reball, you can forget all about money worries and focus on pulling off game changing moves and epic shots. Shoot as many shots as you need, there's always more where those came from!!!
Reballs are rubber shots which are the same calibre as standard paintballs but are completely reusable, completely paint free and are shot at a lower velocity so actually hurt far less than traditional paintballs. Reballs allow us to play with no extra charge for paintballs which would be unrealistic on a weekly basis. This means we can play much, much more for a very moderate price. More over, they allow us to play in rented accommodation such as sports complexes as they offer no damage to walls, windows, lights etc and don’t splat on impact meaning no marks are left. This is fantastic for keeping personal playing equipment clean which is the bane of many a regular player. They are quick and easy to collect after playing for a long amount of time, rinse in water, dry and are ready once again to play with. Finally, playing indoors offers us a much safer playing environment we have a great deal of control over. We are safe from the weather, from mud, rain and can play during light days, dark nights and avoid unforeseen trip hazards, mounds on grass fields etc
The Reball format
The game format we utilise at Carlisle Reball is called Speedball.
Speedball is the tournament standard of paintball played all over the world. It differs significantly from paintball games typically found at local sites or in the media. Camouflage is no longer required; instead players employ specially designed clothing and equipment. Team gear provides matching jerseys sporting a players name, numbers and team sponsors. Guns are greatly advanced when compared to the rental mechanical operated units found on recreational sites. Using microprocessors situated in the grip to run a solenoid at high speed, this allows for a high rate of shots per second making games much faster. These guns can operate as high as 30 shots per second however we will employ a cap of no higher than 12. Guns are more often than not bright colours and personalised, primarily to differentiate from military simulation but also as a personal mark to differentiate from fellow team mates. Rather than playing on outdoor woodland terrain, Carlisle Reball sessions are played on a regulated court which is not too dissimilar in shape and size to a 5-a-side football court. Regulated Obstacles/bunkers of varying size and shape (mirrored on both sides of the court to remain even-handed) are placed in key sections of the court encouraging exhilarating moves, runs and trade offs in order to gain the upper hand and take control of the game.
Like its recreational counterpart, the primary objective of Speedball is to eliminate all members of the opposition by successfully striking them with a paintball. The similarities between both formats differ in how this is achieved. Carlisle Reball games are all about real estate. The faster a team can take control of valuable key positions on the court (which offer superior angles to shoot at opponents) the faster a team can push down the arena and score a game point. Teams are divided into positions much like field sports such as Football and Rugby. Front players are encouraged to take risks in order to gain strong offensive positions, mid players are the glue which hold teams together and back players offer a strong defensive back line to shoot large volumes of shots in the direction of important areas of the court to prevent opposition taking risk-worthy key bunkers. Scoreboards keep track of game points earned and match time remaining. When brought together, all of this offers a fast and exciting spectator sport which is as thrilling to watch as it is to play.
